The international corruption watchdog-Transparency International might be thinking that how Indians are able to infiltrate every sector into one of their genile mark corruption.Yes,The international body's Indian chapter managed by all india society loksevak sangh has been found to be hotbed of corruption by few of its functionaries.Claiming for public Lokpal.Lokayukta in past alongwith mnitoring the trends of corruption in several sector of society, this TI country chapter has been shaddled with corruption and become a major booster for misgovernnance for which it often in the news since 2004.
LokesevaSangh setup by noted freedom doyen LalaLajpat Rai on Gandhian ideals alongwith such luminaries such as Gopabandhu Das,Radhanath Ratha of odisha houses this TI chapter as its LajpatNagar located Lajpat Bhavan is found to be involved in many corrupt, criminal activities-from amassing govt.grant fund to govt, public land & crimes of all sort against persons.institutions of repute, even putting its critics into jail for no or false reason by hatching criminal conspiracy. It stake in news paper in odisha have given it an advantage to silence its detractors are taking this clue, some of its functionaries(loksevak) are indulging in a number of corrupt & criminal activities over these years !
The odisha crime branch police have registered several cases against this society that one of its half-literate functionary was boasting himself falsely in its own newspaper page every otherday as 'Dr' and siphoned off crores of public /govt.funds from its coffers.Another one using this trademark of its owned newspaper has influenced the police in a tribal district in odisha and put several innocents into jail and instrumental in perpetrating several false criminal cases;although this functionary is himself involved with several criminal cases so far ! Similarly another one of its staff have made a sort of record by filling criminal cases against working journalist for vague reason wasting the court's valuable time for years together.Such blatant misuse of law by this indian public service society may be to remain in top chart of TIs supportbase ,said Santi Behera,a NGO activist from odisha.Because unless they showed themselves as most honst how could they attract the foreign fund' said Behera.
Many dirty acts of criminality & corruption aresurfacing day after day which put one to shame that, this Lalaji founded society has been reduced to a tool of exploitation & corruption .Showing concern over this, its president M.Patel told over telephone from vadodra that,a retd.SC justice A.Pasqyat is enquiring all these messy affairs of few of its functionaries.
"It is a face saving mission, said Mrs Minaxi Jha another developmental activist working in Bhubaneswar that ,'there is such efforts in past also by this All India level society to come clean before public,as the retd.Delhi HC justice Rajinder Sachar was placed as inquiry by self appointed basis by this society which ultimately proved that to those he gave clean chit became found involved in several criminal charges. The functionary to whom,Sachar gave a clean chit has occupied a key post for years together and lateron found to be charged with siphoning of public funds worth crores alongwith govt.land on forgery !
According to insiders many of its employees are asked to go on leave to complete the self appointed inquiry by society.Hence many pointed out for an adjudication of all those charges which this TI chapter is facing in an open forum.Tis another exercise of TI country chapter to come clean before a large interlligentsia ! Hence many opines that, self appointed inquiry by it would put a toll on its massive corruption or it would instionalise in the longrun,it remains ti be seen.
Documents in possesion with S T proved that, this TI country chapter is smugged in many corruption controversies of criminality by few of its functionaries greediness for easy money & another luxuries at the cost of common man.
It has so far claimed to monitor corruption indexes of this country now who will monitor its corruption.
